Jawaharlal Nehru University - JNU was started in 1970. It is recognized by UGC. The University has more than 1000 acre campus at New Delhi. The name of the University was after the name of the Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru.
The University is located in the southern part of New Delhi and spread over an area of about 1000 acres. The University has 10 Hostels for Boys and Girls, three Guest Houses, Sports complex has a Sports Stadium with office.
