In total 815749 candidates were registered for class XII examination this year. This amounts for an increase of about 5.94% candidates over that of last year.
HIGHLIGHTS –
• Pass percentage of 2011 = 80.88
• Pass percentage of 2012 = 80.19
• Girls do better than boys. Pass percentage of girls is 86.21 as compared to that of boys which is 75.80.
• Pass percentage of regular students is 82.51 as compared to 38.85 of private/
patrachar candidates.
• Over all pass percentage of Chennai Region is 90.59 which is the highest as compared to other Regions.
